What is electronics?

Electronics is the study and use of electrical devices that work by controlling the flow of electrons or other electrically charged particles in devices such as vacuum lamps and semiconductors. The pure study of such subjects is a branch of physics, while the design and construction of electrical circuits is a part of the fields of electrical, electronic and computer engineering.
For years, the word "electronics" has been used frequently among people, so that each person puts forward his individual perception of this science or its applications; But in general, the definitions and understandings of this term are not complete, and the apparent understandings cannot express the increasing importance and influence of electronics in relation to various industries.
"Electronics" refers to a wide range of electricity that deals with the movement of electrons in a variety of semiconductor circuits. The invention of ICs has caused many changes in this science and modern electronic systems such as remote control circuits, space satellites, robots, etc.

Application of electronics

Electronics Currently, electronics is the key to conquering the wonders of the world and is somehow connected with all the existing sciences and techniques. From simple household appliances to the most complex space techniques, there is talk of pervasive electronic technology everywhere, and today modern industry without electronics and its related technologies is practically abandoned and out of order.
The progress of electronic science and the scope of its scope are clear to everyone today. In addition to electronic devices, including telecommunications devices such as radio, television, audio and video recorders, all kinds of medical, industrial, and military devices, in other non-electronic devices, you can hardly find a device that does not involve electronics. Including in cars and transportation industries, household appliances such as washing machines, vacuum cleaners and the like, the role of electronics has been very active and interesting.
According to this summary, it can be concluded that today, electronics is no longer a special science or specialty for university educated people and specialists in this field, and it is necessary for all people who are somehow involved in technical matters to have knowledge of this field for the sake of their profession. to be Many of the devices that people commonly use today are electronic devices. Electronic devices use electrical current to encode, analyze, or transmit information. In addition to computers, they include cell phones, TV remote controls, DVD and CD players, and digital cameras, to name just a few.

Electronic devices

Here we focus only on computer electronic components. Let's take a closer look at a computer as an example of an electronic device. A computer consists of integrated circuits or microchips, which are made up of millions of small electronic parts and numerous printed circuits. Information is encoded in digital electronic signals. Rapid voltage pulses turn the electrical current on and off, creating long strings of 1's (current on) and 0's (current off). 1's and 0's are the "letters" of the code and a large number of them are required. A digit (either 0 or 1) is called a bit. Each group of eight digits is called a byte and a billion bytes is called a gigabyte. Because the computer circuits are so small and close together, the computer can run very fast and be able to do complex tasks while being small.
The parts of a computer that transmit, process, or store digital signals are shown and described in the figure below. They include CPU, hard disk, ROM and RAM. The motherboard connects all these parts of the computer together.
